Michael Morse

Michael John Morse (born March 22, 1982) is an American professional baseball outfielder and first baseman for the Pittsburgh Pirates of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has also played in MLB for the Seattle Mariners, Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles, San Francisco Giants and Miami Marlins.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Morse lived with his siblings and grandparents in Jamaica until the age of six when he moved back to his birthplace. Morse, raised by his single mother, attended Nova High School in Davie, Florida, the alma matter of fellow major leaguer Anthony Swarzak.
